Zion-Memorial United Church in Carleton Place has organized a fundraising garden tour on Saturday, June 25, from 10am to 4pm. There will be 10 very different gardens to visit. Most of them are in Carleton Place, but some are outside the town. This is a great way to appreciate the efforts that gardeners have been putting in over the past two years, and to learn about different garden design, plants and shrubs.

The tour includes a country garden which artfully hides an above-ground pool, a town garden that celebrates a pool, and a public garden that is a venue for events. There are two gardens side-by-side, and one with an Irish pub! There is a garden with a deck covered with the most gorgeous flowers, and another that draws your eye from the curb right into the back yard. One belongs to the president of the Carleton Place Horticultural Society, and features a bog garden, numerous varieties of sedum, and a wall of orchids and air plants.

Descriptions and a map will be emailed to all purchasers closer to the event date.
